FAQLighting Uniformity

Lighting Uniformity

In most cases, it is required that light guide emits even brightness across its overall length.

To achieve this, we increase number of ditches as it becomes far from light engine or we make its surface more roughly as it becomes far from light engine.
Making use of above technology, it enables to illuminate most brightly in the center of light guide and to gradually darken as it goes both edges of light guide.

Example for lighting uniformity by ditch method

As for light amount taken into light guide, the more increase it closes to light engine, the more decrease it is far from light engine.

To make light amount even, we add the number of ditches as it becomes far from light engine.

For example, on around 700mm of light guide, the pitch of ditch is around 4.0mm at close point to light engine. Besides, at the most far point, the numbers of ditches are around 12-15 per 4.0mm.
